* Chemotherapy and the accompanying treatments can frequently leave you with little or no energy. It has been suggested that cancer patients may find that after only a few weeks of the Vitality Pack, CellWise, and ProVex-Plus, their energy will "zoom through the roof."
Nutrition is important, so the Vitality Pack with Oligofructose Complex and CellWise are excellent. ProVex-Plus and ProvexCV both contain gingko biloba, which is a mild blood thinner, and they should not be used during chemo due to lowering of platelet count and the potential for bleeding. After chemo, once the platelet count is back to normal, ProvexCV and ProVex-Plus are helpful. If you get to the point where swallowing pills becomes a challenge, you might consider crushing them in your juice or Attain in order to continue the level of nutrition.
When eating becomes challenging, try Attain. Some find it easier to tolerate when enduring chemo, and it has an excellent flavor. You might try freezing it, as sometimes it is easier to take things by mouth if they are frozen. Sustain Sport will also help with energy during periods of nausea.
During chemo, mouth sores are common, and there is a potential for gum infection. Try the Classic Tooth Polish because it has Melaleuca oil. The Breath-Away Mouth Rinse is also very helpful. Use Sun Shades Lip Balm for the cold sores in the corner of the mouth. It even works under lipstick. See the section on Cold Sores in this book. T36-C5 used on the incision area following surgery seems to help with the deep aching.
Taking Luminex would be a good idea, as some depression during this sort of treatment is very common. If the cancer is breast cancer, especially estrogen-dependent breast cancer, estrogen cannot be used, but EstrAval is excellent. Depending on the age of the patient (if it is a woman), menopausal symptoms come on immediately, because the chemo knocks out the estrogen production, resulting in instant menopause with severe symptoms. EstrAval is excellent in this case.
Use Renew Intensive Skin Therapy and the Moisturizing Hand Creme on your hands regularly when taking chemo. It may help with fingernail loss.
