SHINGLES

SHINGLES
The same virus that causes chicken pox in children causes shingles in adults. It manifests as small, very painful clusters of blisters, which form along a sensory nerve on the skin of the chest, neck, face, stomach or limbs. These pink or white blisters contain a clear fluid, which may later become pus. They dry up and disappear in about a week, but the irritation may remain for a longer period of time.
     * Shingles can be treated similarly to chicken pox, except for the use of more Sol-U-Mel and Renew Bath Oil, detoxification, and satisfying the increased nutritional need for B vitamins. Take the Vitality Pack with Oligofructose Complex, CellWise, ProVex and/or ProVex-Plus as directed. Drink 2 to 6 cups of Melaleuca Herbal Tea to reduce virus growth. Add 2 oz of Renew Bath Oil and 2 oz of Sol-U-Mel to a warm tub of water. Soak for 30 minutes. Pat dry. Apply a drop of T36-C5 to pustules, followed by Triple Antibiotic Ointment. If the pustules are particularly sensitive, apply the T40-C3, as it is a rarer, more gentle form of Melaleuca oil. Continue this once or twice a day for 6 days. Consult your health care provider for further advice.
